Selection Process

The recipient of the Liisi Oterma Medal will be selected by a jury appointed by the committee of the Europlanet Northern Europe Hub.

The jury will evaluate nominations based on the scientific, educational, societal, and inspirational impact of the nominee’s work. Particular attention will be given to contributions that increase visibility, support inclusion, encourage mentoring, and inspire women and under-represented groups in planetary science and astronomy.
